The school provides within its premises a modest
clinic with first-aid kits and necessary medicines. A child specialist visits
the school twice a week for routine medical check-up of all the students on
rotation. The parents/guardians are regularly informed about the findings of
the medical check-up. The school doctor remains on call and is available to
deal with emergency cases at any time. In the event of sickness requiring
prolonged medical treatment the parents/guardians are consulted and necessary
arrangements are made for it. The annual medical fee paid at the time of
admission covers general health care and minor treatment expenses only.
Expenses incurred in special investigation such as X-ray, lab tests etc. and
long term use of potent medicine are added to the monthly bill of the students
or the parents are intimidated about the sickness immediately and the sick
child is left in their care.
