About Us

HOLY VISION INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (HVIS) was founded in 2049 B.S. as a Primary School by the approval of District Education Office, Kathmandu. After two years in function, the Higher Secondary Education Board granted affiliation to run + 2 wing in 2051 B.S. in Science, Management and Humanities streams. Since then it has emerged as a brand for quality education under the name of HOLY VISION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (HVHSS). When all the private schools were offered the choice to opt either for profit driven company or not-for-profit trust, Holy Vision Higher Secondary School opted to function as a private trust.
This is one of the leading English Medium Boarding Higher Secondary schools in Kathmandu. The school offers comprehensive and quality education from pre-school to higher secondary, +2 level which is affordable maximum parents. It incorporates a unique educational program in which physical and moral development activities go hand in hand with excellent academic studies. With the problem of right education becoming an increasing concern for parents, our new moral education curriculum will provide children with a moral framework to grow as ideal & responsible citizens of the country.
The school has always demonstrated excellent academic performance and obtained impressive results in the examinations from the beginning. In all S.L.C./S.E.E.  examinations the school has been obtaining outstanding results right from the first SLC batch in 2058 and the results of HSEB/NEB  examinations have also been very impressive all throughout.
HOLY VISION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (HVHSS) has emerged as a brand in itself as far as quality education is concerned. Located in a serene green environment, at Tahachal in Kathmandu Metropolitan city ward no. 13, the school caters to impart quality education to around 1200 students from Play Group (PG) to class XII.  One of its mottos has been providing 'Education for leadership in the 21st century'. Its teaching- learning atmosphere is permeated with a sense of discipline and moral values that help to meet the challenges of present day competitive world.
The ultimate goal of Holy Vision is to help every student to become perfect individuals- emotionally, intellectually and physically. Our pedagogy is learner centered where each student gets individual care that encourages one to become hopeful, creative, curious, diligent, respectful, cooperative, responsible, confident and competitive. The school aims to discover the strength of the students that they are perfect individuals.
The school's other motto, as set by its Founder Principal, Mr. Narayan Sharma Gajurel, has always been "Not to compromise anything at the cost of the interest of the students", i.e. to keep the interest of the students at the highest level.

History

The school was founded in 2049 B.S. as a Primary School by the approval of District Education Office, Kathmandu. Since the year its students started to appear in HSEB/NEB or SLC/SEE board exams, 100% of its students passed out the boards with excellent percentage of marks. It soon became a favoured school in Kathmandu Valley.

After the tremendous success of Holy Vision, its sole founder, at the beginning, Mr. Narayan Sharma Gajurel, also opened Holy Vision Technical Campus and Capitol Hill College. Now all these institutions are functioning in full swing.

The school has a long history of passing out thousands of students. Many of them are now settled in life with high profile jobs or in national and international level businesses. Some are achieving laurels in foreign universities and some others are emerging as toppers in home universities.

At present around 1100 students are studying from classes Play Group to class XII. This is the saturation levelof acommodation in the present compound.

New students are admitted only to fill up the gap of out going students after the Board exams.

Word's from Principal's Desk

Dear Viewers,

Greetings from the Principal of Holy Vision Int'l Secondary School. At Holy Vision we cater the interests of parents of age groups from 2 plus in PG to 18 minus in classes 11 & 12. During these 29 years of service to the cause of the society, we have achieved wonderful goodwill not only from the neighborhood, but also from the entire valley and beyond.

Being a non-profit trust, we keep our students at the pivotal point of interest and consistently work towards imparting quality education as demanded by the changing scenario in education sector of current time frame.

Our emphasis is not only to respect the prescribed curriculum and just the subjective knowledge, but also to work towards improving such qualities as moral values, personality development, oratory skill development, life skill learning, art skill development, cultural awareness and so on. We believe that students become smart learners through sports, yoga, music, dance, dramas, cultural shows and competitions to prove varied skills. With this in mind, we endeavour to provide programmes that meet the needs of all individuals. A sense of personal specific care is given up to class V through grade teaching and children are taught to become more responsible from class VI through subject teaching.

We have an excellent team of teaching and non-teaching staff, most of them having shown their dedication to the school for 10 to 25 years. When appointing staff, our highest priority is to find teachers who have a passion for teaching and who love working with children.  This is because we believe children need to feel safe, happy and valued by their teacher, before quality learning can take place.

At Holy Vision we prioritize in encouraging students to think positively about the school and about what they have achieved.  We believe that students should learn to celebrate not only their achievement but also the success of others and get adapted to mutual help and co-existence.

We are being assisted by the parents of around 1100 students and their relatives. Meritorious students are selected through entrance tests for classes III to IX & XI, only for available limited seats. No written test is required for admission in PG to class II, but they need to fulfill certain criteria in oral tests. Admission is not opened for classes X & XII.

The key thing we follow is honesty to address the interest of the parents and even off the duty hour dedication for making tomorrow better than today. We do not boast for a sprawling compound, but it is enough for required games and other activities. Our practice of field trips and hiring of football and futsal grounds are highly applauded by the existing parents.

You are welcome to visit the school premises and feel the differences.
